In the 2019 movie The Rise of Skywalker, an old woman asks Rey, the main character, “What is your name?” She replies, “I’m Rey.” “What’s your last name?” This moment reminds us that a name is not just an identifier, but a destiny—one by which a person is called and even commissioned. Isaiah 42 begins, “Here is my servant, whom I uphold, my chosen.” Who is God’s servant that Isaiah is referring to?
