Revelation Chapter 21
IN THIS LESSON
“It is done!” (v. 6) What is done? The judgment, the punishment, and the restoration of heaven and earth. But there is more. The New Jerusalem must come, which is described as “the bride, the wife of the Lamb” (v. 9). This New Jerusalem has a peculiar shape—a cube—even though it is made of gold and beautifully decorated. Why is that? Furthermore, its gates are always open, even though city gates are usually closed for defense and protection. Why? The New Jerusalem is 150 miles high and wide. But 150 is not a symbolic or "perfect" number like 7, 12, or 1,000. So why, all of a sudden, 150?
