IN THIS LESSON

This passage marks the conclusion of Paul’s theological section in Romans. From here on, he will move on to other matters such as his travel plans, the gift for the saints in Jerusalem, and final greetings. Yet this section is filled with quotations from the Old Testament. Why is that? Paul circles back to the theme with which he began, just as a symphony or a song ends in the same key in which it started. What is that “key”? Why is it so important to (re)emphasize it?
