IN THIS LESSON

“Love must be real,” Paul declares in Romans 12:9. But what does real love look like in practice? In this powerful passage, Paul outlines a series of action-oriented commands—not just lofty ideals, but tangible ways to embody Christian love. He reminds us that we each have different gifts from God (v. 6). Teaching, serving, encouraging, giving, leading, showing mercy—these are not just tasks, but spiritual gifts intended for the building up of the church. What are your gifts? And more importantly, how are you using them within your own community? Among Paul’s many imperatives in this section, which one strikes you the most—and why?
